Corruption represents one of the great evils of the postmodern era and, since it has a negative impact on the socioeconomic development of organized societies, it is important to carefully analyze its correlation with the exercise of business activity, as well as the measures adopted to repress it. and prevention. The scope of the article is to bring basic reflections on the consequences of corruption in the activity of the entrepreneur and of the companies, as well as on the anti-corruption measures provided for by law, followed by the offering of criticisms of the Brazilian legal system, centered on the Law No. 12,846/2013.
